Excy is home, and is recovering. How do you even get a twisted colon, you ask? It's a mystery. Seems it happens to taller people, and he had an usually long colon (yeah you can say it, I've accused him of being full of shit on occasion myself). Once it 'twists' it will keep happening until it's taken care of surgically. It's a long and slow recovery.
Now my body is saying 'enough!' and I'm feeling exhausted. Guess I was running on adrenalin. The animals are glad we are home again. The wild ones took off racing over the hills -- always a beautiful sight. My oldest 'coon came racing up to the glass door and when I placed my hand on the glass he reached out and put his paw over my outlined hand and kept it there a few seconds looking at me. Phoenix (my problem child-cat) marked a present under the tree (she was mad).....I will visit you all and resume bloggie life this week - thanks so much for all your thoughts and comments.....

Best wishes to Excy for a speedy recovery, and to you too - rest up and take care of yourself.
I am happy to hear he's recovering...I do hope you can get some rest yourself. I hope 2010 is a wonderful year for you.
Hugs!
Pretty cool moment with the racoon. Magical. I hope both you and Excy get some much needed rest. Sounds like you could use a few breaks. Guess we're all holding good thoughts for better things in 2010.
I hope he recovers quickly is back to a normal fiber filled day:)
Now get off the computer and rest woman! :)
How wonderfull the coon put his paw up to your hand against the glass!
Take care of both of you!
Sorry about the cat poop but I'm glad to hear Excy is recovering!
I had a horse that got a twisted colon. I watched the surgery. That's a long freakin' colon. Hope Excy is feeling better soon.
Glad Excy is home now and prayers for a speedy recovery. I hope you can get some rest now too --much better to recover at home I think. I HATE hospitals. BUT, you are all too well familiar with that eh.
That's sweet! I like stories like that (about the racoon) I am actually really sorry to hear about your man. Hope he gets better soon!
Keeping Excy in my thoughts & prayers. Hope he gets to feeling better soon. And you need some rest, too!
Wow...that sounds so painful. My mom in law had the same thing. We were both on separate trips to the East Coast when I called to check on hubs at home in CA. He said, you are not going to believe this but my mom is in a hospital in the same state you are in. I asked my brother I was visiting and he said that hospital was down the street about 3 miles. I hopped in the car, and went to see her. She nearly dropped dead when I walked in the room. What are the chances? Happy New Year... Holly
Lands a goodness, ya'll have been through a bad spell. Glad to hear things are headed in the right direction.
I'm so glad Excy's home and recovering....and that you're getting some rest!
Thank God! You both have been in my prayers, and I am elated to hear that Excy is home and recovering. I know that you are recovering nicely too. Now it's time for some good ol' fashioned rest for you both. And if your health care providers approve - cocktails! Nothin' wrong with a lil' victory cheer.
