Seriously RUDE

Even if I hadn't been tired and hurting from a long day of errands and acupuncture, I doubted I've have been more patient. I have no 'wiring' for patience when people are oblivious and self-absorbed, or worse, as in the case of this manky cow, who had to have known she was holding up five cars behind and beside her, all unable to pass as she proceeded to gab with her friend putting groceries away in her car. She just didn't care. It blows my mind. So she just sat there leaning over the passenger seat, yucking it up as the other woman (lady is way to much of a stretch to write), put stuff away for seemingly for-ev-er as we all sat, idling, shooting looks that should've blown their bloated heads off (without disturbing whatever brains were possessed). The car unable to pass was close enough to be about four feet from her and I saw him put his car into 'park.'

What really cheesed me off was when she finally -- finally -- deigned to move, she parked two slots away.

That's what made my wrath flow like lava. Why had it not occurred to these two fools to talk after she had parked her car? This is one of the main reasons I seldom go to the movies anymore, btw. She would be on her damn cellphone, texting away or loudly telling some yahoo to pick up some Cheese-wiz on the way home because they were out...

What I cannot believe thinking back on this is why no one honked their horn. We didn't want to be impolite. But she didn't get the message through pointed looks of annoyance. No doubt she'll do this again, since no one shamed her into recognizing her selfishness. It's also likely she wouldn't care, anyway, but at least she'd have had the embarrassment of having been honked at. It's weird. Would I feel less annoyed now if I had honked??

Spied this obituary the other day:
Greg LeGrowd 'showed up for work at the Lord's office...' I don't know know about you, but if I reached the pearly gates I'd be royally annoyed at being put to work...

Possibly...On a more positive note, I hope you and this manky cow don't cross paths again; Perhaps the family of Mr. LeGrowd feel he possessed qualities needed there???

I must admit the suspense is killing me...Thanks again!

If you could get away, where would you go???

Thank you for finding me. I loved your post today, yes, rude people. Seems the older I get, the less patience I have for being inconvenienced like that. And I'm with you, who wants to work after passing through the pearly gates? Otherwise RIP doesn't have much meaning does it :)

Oh mon Amy!

I couldn't help but smile a ridiculously large smile as I read your post. (My first, but sure not to be my last!)

It was so interesting because I could hear your voice and it was so consistent with that 17 year old voice I remember from so long ago.

I still have a smile on my face!

later!

If she's that oblivious, she probably didn't notice the glaring looks. Sometimes you just have to honk or get out of the car and approach. In other words, get in her face....politely of course!

Sigh. The worst in me is brought out when I'm confronted with rudeness.

Whoa! I tell ya, I am going to get myself in big trouble one day because I am (and I have) the type to honk or get out of the car and tap on the window. I will start out very sweet and polite. 2nd attempt, more direct and stern. 3rd attempt, all hellfire women in me will break loose. I know what you mean and it seems to be more and more common, like fat has taken over the brains of these morons. I'm sorry you had to go through this. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

OMG, this happens here alllll the time - people just do what they want with no consideration to others - and if you call them on it, they act hurt, like they're the ones being offended...it's all screwed up. Nobody has any manners nor accepts personal responsibility anymore. That's why I've turned into a hermit more or less.

Oh, I would have done more than honked. I would have honked with one finger.

Well, I probably wouldn't have, but I like to talk a big game.

I would have moved her car myself and damn the consequences, I'm with you, Netflix rules so you don't have to deal with eedjits at the theaters!

Here's what I would've done: same as you, nothing, but in my mind I would have put my car in park, gotten out of my car, and asked her super nice if she could move b/c I couldn't get passed her. Just 'maybe' she didn't realize and the only reason I say that is bc I think sometimes I am operating in a daze and don't mean to be obtrusive and annoying but am unaware I am being those things :) BTW, you are top blog of the week tomorrow.
