Fabulous Finds Friday

Today's FFF comes without a photo, because who doesn't recall seeing the cheery yellow and cream packaging of a Burt's Bees product? They abound -- from your local grocery to a book store, you can find BB everywhere. I consider their product low priced.

In the mid '90s (can't recall exact date), I was writing a beauty column for a local magazine when BB came to town and put on a seminar (and fed us quite well). It was fun to hear how BB got started -- (humble beginnings in Maine from a local bee-keeper) and evolved into the multi-million product industry it is today, still keeping their product as natural as they can....

Here is BB product I have used for ages and really love. (I have used everything they offer, but these are the ones I have kept):

Baby Bee Apricot oil -- uhmmmm -- smells yummy and makes your skin so soft and fragrant...I use this in the winter just out of the shower or bath.

Honey and Grape seed hand cream -- goes on fast and absorbs fast.

Baby Bee Buttermilk -- smells wonderful and absorbs fast.

Beeswax lip balm.

Radiance Body Lotion -- for when I am bearing skin. It has mica in it so gives it some sheen!

I don't care for the makeup much, though in the summer I like their shimmer lip stick, it's sheer and stays on pretty good -- though my lips seem to eat lipstick quickly...

I do not like their sunscreen with hemp seed oil. It doesn't absorb well at all, and it chalky white, and smells.....

Speaking of books.....I still remember the feel and smell of the little children's books my grandmother kept in her house for us. We would read them over and over again! I loved my grandmother's voice and hearing her read to me as a child. Good Memories Indeed!

Mmmm Love Burt's Bees. They have a lemon body oil too. I love it this time of year- it's the only thing that staves off alligator legs. and I love bathing my baby in the baby products- he smells delicious.

Thanks for the review. I'm kind of a product junkie as I state on my site. I like BB lip balms, have't tried too many other of their products.

Thanks for this post. Burt's Bees is one product line I have never tried, but I will now, per your comments here.

As for my earlier typo-ridden disaster under a previous posting, do forgive me. One would never guess looking at it that I once wrote for a living...

Enjoy your weekend!

Thank you for visiting my blog :-) Actually, I do not know anything about Burt's Bees products since I didn't grow up here, but I have heard of it somewhere - probably on Etsy ;-)

Have a wonderful Friday and enjoy your weekend.

Love BB too, but you left out their foot cream. That and a pair of cotton socks equals smooth heels for me.

I love BB! Their beeswax lipbalm is the only kind I'll use, nothing else works. I found some on clearance recently at Walgreens, 3 packs for $4, I was thrilled. I also like their lemon cuticle cream, the smell is delicious. Their lip shimmer is the only lip color I use, when the rare occasion occurs.
