It's a Hate/Hate Relationship....

Cars that honk when the owner remotely locks them. I jump every time when I'm walking through the parking lot.

Bills from companies for 5 or 10 cents after you've just paid the balance in full -- or thought you had.

Toll-free service callers who still call after you've signed up on that 'Do Not Call' list.

Nonprofit organizations we used to donate to who do not take 'no' for an answer. I am polite about it but eventually want to say hey! Sign up for my nonprofit kidney account or mustang sanctuary will ya? We'll cancel each other out.

Hair stylists who cancel at the last minute when you've scheduled the appt. around an 'event.'

Restaurant meals that come to the table cold, or when they bring the appetizer out with the entree. We eat out so seldom, we go to a nice place and expect a great meal. And yes, it gets sent back.

People who tip 50 cents or a dollar to 'make a statement.' I was a wait person, and I know how hard they work. Maybe it wasn't even their fault. Talk to the manager, but don't be a boor.

People who talk over you before you've finished your sentence, or who make you feel you must rush through what you are saying.

Computerized services that cut you off before you've completed the transition, thus making you begin again.

ATMs that don't work when you drive up to them.

Stores that are closed during normal business hours.

Just a few of my unfavorite things ..
What gets your goat?

WYE,
man I relly hate these things too and there are bob ways to handle most of them, but thet damn horn thing does the same to me, I always think some one is honking for me to move.
Those damned computers, man, hate dealing with the phone bots, ask for all the info, you gotta go look it up, then they say too long and you gotta start all over.
BIG HUGS

I find no excuse for huge grocery stores with only one or two checkout lines open at busy times like Saturday afternoon, but you read my post about that. Ironically, I used to stiff food servers for feedback when I was a waiter, but only for being unforgivably rude. I quit doing that when I left food service.

Businesses with names that are stupid - "Faux Pas" anyone? Why the f*ck would I shop at a store called that? Clearly, the owner does not know her French ... and neither do any of her customers if they think 'faux pas' is French for glamorous, fashionable or tasteful - which it definitively is NOT.

Cars that don't put on their turn signals then slam on the brakes to turn. Cars that go UNDER the speed limit. People that text and drive at the same time. Notice a theme here??

Cutesy spelling of words. English may be infuriating but please don't put up a sign that says "Kwik" or "Sav A Center" or "Valu" It is hard enough to teach my kids to read. Love your blog, thanks for stopping by mine. I'll be back.

I'm with you on the car honk and locking. I don't have that feature (honk with lock). It's a nice quiet, silent thing.

Ah, the famous Do Not Call list - but you do know how they are getting around that now, right? They say, "This is not a call to get you to buy something, it's a call to complete a survey" and THEN it turns into a solicitation call....

Things I can't stand.... people with horns in the car and they have no patience when the light just turned green THAT second. Customers who believe that if they yell the loudest they will get what they want and to heck with company policy. Employees that call in sick and come in the next day with a new hair cut. The list could go on!

You've got a great list here...one thing that really bothers me is people who do not use their turn signals! I mean how lazy? You just have to flip a switch!

These are all good ones! I hate calling a business and having to talk to a computer instead of a person. I don't like having conversations with computers! :0)

What a fun blog you have here! It was nice reading your about me.

These were all great! Huh, not so great -- but you know what I mean...and as for poor spelling or cutsy spelling? Who would want to hold their account at a bank that spells their name 'Banc??!' Or live on something other other 'Pointe?' And as for the no using the turn signals, what are they afraid of? Burning it out?? Finally as Woodrow Call said in Lonesome Dove after he beat the crap out of an errant fellow, "I just have no tolerance for rude people." Thanks for the responses. They were all fun to read......

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Thought I'd return the favor. What a nice place you have here! Think I'll hop on and follow.

Amongst my favorite "hates" are doctors who patronize, people who don't really listen (except to the tapes that are continually running inside their own heads) and people who are cruel, or even thoughtless. It's tough enough getting by without having to deal with that.

I can't stand it when bad drivers look at you like your the one driving like an idiot! It's called a turn signal buddy!

Also, arrogant people who think that the world revolves around them, especially when it comes to retail and service workers! Get a life!

I love your list!

I'm hideously bitter about people with no talent who get rich through reality shows and flaunt their big cars and posh houses and extravagant vacations as though they're someone important. Talented people I'm fine with. No talent f*cktards like those chicks from The Hills? NO!

I feel so much better now...

I also detest when my icon doesn't show up. EFF THAT THING!

ALL of these things! You read my mind. I do have one more that will happen soon. People that act like they've never seen snow and don't know how to drive in it when they've lived in the Midwest their entire lives. Get used to it people!
