Two blips in the News

Did ya'll see hear these two stories?
1) A 27-year-old woman was on a first date with a guy. After the meal he excused himself, saying he had left his wallet in her car. He skipped out on the check and drove off in her car.

I am so envious of this woman. What a brilliant story she has to dine out on for the rest of her life. And any dates she has in the future will always be great in comparison.

2) The 80-year-old man who, in the same week, had been tied up and pistol-whipped, and then accidently shot days later while trying to learn about guns for self-defense.

And you thought you were having a bad week?! Seriously. Excy won't let me have a gun. He says if I got one it'd better be chocolate, because someone would just take it away from me and make me eat it.

Hello there, hon! I feel we are kindred spirits, too. I love and respect what you and your hubby do, God Bless you both and I can only imagine how hard it must be to take a break or go on vacation. I too love animals, as you read and have a hard time even leaving for a weekend even though I know they are in good hands with a dear friend. Love your blog and I can't wait to get to know you more. WOW, I wish I could have attended one of you Halloween parties. Sounds like a blast. I used to do an annual Mardi Gras party but haven't had it in 2 years. You're right, it's so much work. I hope to have another this year though. Looking froward to hearing from you, hon! Take care and have a great week.

OMG...any date after that would be like a dream after that fiasco.

It would be just my luck if I did have a gun that someone would take it from me!

i did hear about the woman on the date when i was watching the 'news' CHELSEA LATELY and he actually gave her a fake name too

if i had a gun i would def end up shooting something i was not supposed to be shooting like myself or my husband

Bahaha! All bad dates just paled in comparison to the one you wrote about. Thanks!

I'm so glad I'm married. If I ever end up single again, I think I'll just join a convent.

That woman was stupid. Exactly why did she let someone she just met on her first date have the keys to her car? People are waaaaay too trusting. She needs to read the blog I posted on 9/30!

Excy is right about the gun. Not that you wouldn't be willing to shoot someone, but well ... you know. Oh, I'm home, by the way. Still looking for help with the site?

Hey there,
You made a sweet comment on our blog about how you loved the design. We were going to hire a designer and then I found this designer online that does it for free. You just cut and paste the html of the design you like and it instantly changes the whole look of your blog. I'm no good at this stuff and it was super easy. Just thought I'd pass on her URL to you in case you want to check it out sometime. http://www.leeloublogs.blogspot.com/
